A UCH Tool works with the Renault UCH (Unite Centrale Habitacle) — the passenger-compartment control unit that manages the immobilizer, keycards, lighting and comfort functions on Renault and Dacia vehicles. It reads and writes UCH memory to program keycards and remotes, perform immo/PIN synchronization, virginize or renew a UCH, and re-code a replacement unit so it pairs with the engine ECU. OBD and bench access are both used depending on the UCH generation. It is used by auto locksmiths and body-electronics repairers for lost-card jobs, failed UCH replacement and theft recovery. Because the UCH holds the immobilizer link between key, dashboard and engine ECU, correct synchronization is required for the vehicle to start.
Softechpro does not program UCH units or keycards, so it complements rather than replaces the UCH Tool. On Renault/Dacia work the UCH Tool handles body/immo tasks while Softechpro can apply DTC-off and emissions modules to the engine ECU with automatic checksum correction.
