ECU Editor / Map Editor
TunerCat is Windows tuning software that edits ECU calibrations using definition files, with a long-standing focus on General Motors vehicles. It presents the factory tables and parameters for supported GM controllers, including fuel, spark, idle, transmission, and limiter settings, for editing, and is known for well-developed GM OBD-I and OBD-II definition coverage. Hobbyists and small shops use TunerCat to modify GM calibrations, often alongside a compatible read/write cable or device to get the calibration on and off the vehicle. Like other definition-driven editors, it depends on having the correct definition for a given ECU/firmware. TunerCat's OBDII product specifically addresses later GM OBD-II PCMs. It is a practical, affordable option in the GM DIY tuning ecosystem.
