Aftermarket Diagnostic Scanner
ThinkDiag is a compact Bluetooth OBD-II dongle from Thinkcar that turns a phone or tablet into a full-system diagnostic scanner through its app. Unlike basic ELM327 dongles it provides manufacturer-level coverage — reading and clearing DTCs across engine, ABS, SRS, transmission and body modules, showing live data and running a set of reset functions such as oil, EPB, SAS and throttle — with software licensed per vehicle brand or by subscription. DIY enthusiasts and mobile technicians use it as a portable alternative to a full scan tablet. Function depth depends on the purchased software packages and on the specific vehicle being worked on.
ThinkDiag reads and clears codes over OBD; Softechpro instead edits the ECU firmware to remove emissions and DTC triggers at the source and corrects the checksum, so the two serve complementary roles.
