Aftermarket Diagnostic Scanner
SOLUS is Snap-on's long-running family of handheld scan tools, including SOLUS Edge, SOLUS Ultra and the earlier SOLUS Pro. These rugged units provide multi-brand full-system diagnostics — DTC read/clear, live data with graphing, bi-directional actuation and functional tests — plus common service resets, aimed at technicians who want a fast, dependable handheld rather than a full tablet. SOLUS models are known for strong coverage and for Snap-on's guided component tests and troubleshooter tips. Software is updated through Snap-on's subscription releases, and higher models add coding and expanded reset functions. Exact capability depends on the model and software level.
SOLUS is a handheld live-diagnostics tool; Softechpro works at the firmware level, applying emissions and DTC-off modules and correcting checksums, so it addresses a different part of the workflow than the scanner.
