J2534 Passthru Interface
This refers to using the Scanmatik 2 Pro through its SAE J2534 pass-thru driver so third-party and OEM software can talk to vehicle ECUs via a standardized interface. In J2534 mode the Scanmatik acts as a generic pass-thru VCI, letting applications like PCMflash, OEM reprogramming portals and other tuning tools handle protocol and messaging while the hardware bridges to the car. It supports the protocols required for modern flashing, including CAN, CAN-FD and K-line, and is a popular, affordable J2534 choice for tuners who want one device that also doubles as a full diagnostic tool in native mode. Correct J2534 DLL installation is needed for each host application.
The J2534 interface carries the read and write; Softechpro Solutions edits the file that passes through it, adding modules and Stage maps plus checksum correction. Softechpro is host-side file software, independent of the pass-thru hardware.
