Truck & Off-Highway Diagnostic
SDP3 (Scania Diagnos & Programmer 3) is Scania's official diagnostic and programming software for their trucks, buses, and industrial and marine engines. Running on Windows with a Scania VCI2 or VCI3 interface, it communicates over the vehicle's CAN networks to read and clear fault codes, display live values, run function and actuator tests, and perform control-unit programming, parameter changes, and configuration. Scania dealers and workshops use it to diagnose EMS engine management, EBS braking, coordinator, and body-builder systems on P, G, R, and S-series vehicles, and to set up and code replacement ECUs. Access is tied to Scania credentials, with parameter changes logged. SDP3 is an OEM service platform oriented toward diagnosis, parameterization, and factory-sanctioned programming.
Softechpro handles engine-file editing such as DPF/EGR/AdBlue/DTC-off and checksum correction after a read; it does not replace SDP3's OEM diagnostics and coding, which cover a different part of the workflow.
