Data Logging & Analysis
The DL1 is Race Technology's well-known GPS data logger, combining a GPS receiver with internal accelerometers and inputs for vehicle and ECU signals. It records speed, position, lateral and longitudinal g-force, lap times and analogue/CAN channels, giving racers and testers accurate performance and handling data at accessible cost. The DL1 has been a popular entry into serious data acquisition for club motorsport, trackday enthusiasts and small engineering teams, and can integrate ECU data alongside its GPS and inertial measurements. Logged data is reviewed in Race Technology's Analysis software for lap overlays, track maps and reports. The DL1 is a capture device; it measures and records but does not modify ECU calibration.
The DL1 records performance data and has no ECU-writing capability, so it complements rather than competes with Softechpro; it is a practical way to quantify the results of a Softechpro-applied tune on track.
