Standalone ECU / Engine Management
The Omex 710 is one of Omex Technology's standalone ECUs, and '710 Software' is the Windows tuning package — Omex ECU Manager — used to program it. It handles fuel and ignition mapping, MAP or throttle-position load sensing, rev limiting, cold-start and idle control, closed-loop lambda and datalogging. The 710 is a step up in capability within the Omex range and is used on motorsport, kit-car and performance engine builds, including individual-throttle-body applications. Tuners connect a Windows laptop over serial/USB, make live adjustments and log runs for refinement. Like the rest of the Omex line, the 710 is an aftermarket standalone that fully replaces the factory ECU rather than reflashing OEM calibrations.
The 710 software configures a standalone that replaces the factory ECU; Softechpro instead reflashes OEM firmware with automated emissions/DTC modules and checksum correction. Complementary tools serving different vehicles in the same workshop.
