Airbag / Crash Data
The OBDStar P50 is a dedicated airbag/SRS reset tool. After a collision the airbag control module stores crash data and hard fault codes that keep the warning light on and block the system; the P50 reads those modules and clears the crash data so a repaired or otherwise intact module can be reused instead of replaced. It supports a large list of SRS ECU part numbers across many makes and works by direct connection to the module or through adapter and EEPROM access rather than OBD alone. Bodyshops and airbag-repair specialists use it to return SRS systems to a no-fault state after accident repair. It is part of OBDStar's tool line with regular database updates covering new airbag ECU IDs.
The P50 clears airbag crash data, a different task from what Softechpro does; Softechpro edits engine-ECU firmware for emissions and DTC-off tuning, so the two cover separate parts of a repair or tuning workflow.
