Data Logging & Analysis
NI VeriStand is a configuration-based software environment from NI for building real-time testing applications, most notably hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test systems, real-time data acquisition and stimulus generation. Engineers configure channels, import control models (for example from Simulink), map I/O to NI real-time hardware (PXI, CompactRIO), define alarms and procedures, and run deterministic tests without low-level programming. It is used in automotive and aerospace ECU/controller validation to simulate plant models, exercise an ECU under test, log responses and automate test sequences. VeriStand is domain- and vehicle-agnostic, defined by the project's models and I/O configuration, and centers on real-time test and measurement rather than ECU calibration or firmware flashing.
VeriStand is a real-time HIL and test platform, an engineering discipline entirely separate from Softechpro's firmware editing. Softechpro does not simulate or test ECUs in real time; it modifies firmware files, so there is no overlap.
