Immo & Key Programming
An MQB49 Tool addresses a newer VAG MQB immobilizer generation (often referred to as MQB49) found on later MQB vehicles, which uses stronger security than earlier MQB/ID48 systems. It reads the distributed immo/component-protection data across the cluster and engine ECU to program keys, perform all-keys-lost, and adapt replacement modules; because of the tougher protection, procedures frequently require specific bench methods or additional data collection rather than simple OBD learning. Users are VAG-focused auto locksmiths handling recent Golf, Audi, Skoda and Seat models. The tool concentrates on correctly obtaining and aligning the immobilizer data so a newly prepared key is accepted, and this generation is recognized in the trade as one of the more challenging VAG immobilizers to service.
Softechpro does not program MQB49 keys or immo data, so it is not a substitute for the MQB49 Tool. It is used alongside it for engine-ECU DTC-off and emissions tuning with checksum correction on supported firmwares.
