Immo & Key Programming
An MQB Tool works with the immobilizer system of the VAG MQB platform (e.g., Golf 7, Audi A3 8V, Skoda Octavia, Seat Leon), where immo data is distributed between the instrument cluster, engine ECU and related modules using AES-based security. It reads the required immo/CS data — over OBD or on the bench depending on the vehicle — to program keys, perform all-keys-lost, add spare keys, and adapt a replacement cluster or ECU so the system starts. Users are VAG-focused auto locksmiths. Because MQB security ties several modules together with component protection, the tool focuses on correctly extracting and aligning the immo data so the vehicle recognizes the new key; some MQB generations require dedicated methods and can be significantly harder than earlier VAG immobilizers.
Softechpro does not program MQB keys or immo data, so it does not replace the MQB Tool. On VAG vehicles the MQB Tool handles immo/keys while Softechpro can separately apply DTC-off and emissions modules to the engine ECU with checksum correction.
