Aftermarket Diagnostic Scanner
Launch X431 is a long-running family of professional diagnostic scanners from Launch Tech, ranging from handheld units to Android tablets with a Bluetooth VCI. It provides full-system diagnostics — reading and clearing DTCs, live data, actuation tests and ECU coding — across engine, transmission, ABS, SRS, body and comfort modules on a very wide range of makes. It also performs common service functions such as oil reset, EPB, SAS, DPF regeneration, throttle adaptation and battery registration. Independent garages worldwide use X431 as a general multi-brand scan tool. Software is subscription-updated, and many models support J2534 pass-thru and remote diagnostics for extended coverage.
The X431 reads and clears live fault codes and runs regenerations; Softechpro instead removes DPF/EGR/AdBlue/DTC triggers at the firmware level and re-corrects the checksum, so it complements a scanner like the X431 rather than replacing its live diagnostics or hardware flashing.
