Bench / BSL / Boot Tool
K-TAG Boot is the boot- and BDM-mode operation of Alientech's K-TAG programmer, designed for reading and writing ECUs on the bench through bootloader, BDM or JTAG access. It targets controllers whose flash and EEPROM cannot be fully read over OBD, including many Bosch EDC16/EDC17, ME/MED, Siemens/Continental and Delphi units, and is often used for full clones and recovery of locked modules. K-TAG requires opening the ECU and connecting positioning-frame probes or soldered boot pins, following Alientech's protocol library. It is the boot-focused counterpart to KESS3's OBD/bench work and a longstanding professional tool for complete ECU imaging where deeper hardware access is required.
K-TAG Boot extracts the complete image; Softechpro Solutions then applies DPF/EGR/AdBlue/DTC-off and Stage modules and corrects the checksum on that file. Softechpro handles the tuning file, not the physical boot access.
