Standalone ECU / Engine Management
The KMS MD35 is a mid/upper-tier standalone ECU from Kronenburg Management Systems, offering more drives, inputs and functions than the MP-series for demanding multi-cylinder and high-boost builds. It provides full sequential fuel and ignition, MAP/alpha-N load sensing, closed-loop lambda, electronic boost control, VVT/cam control, launch control, traction and configurable CAN, tuned via KMS Management Studio. The MD35 is used in European drag, time-attack and circuit motorsport as well as high-power street cars. Tuners make live adjustments and log at high rates for refinement. As with the whole KMS range, the MD35 is an aftermarket standalone that replaces the factory ECU rather than reflashing OEM calibrations.
The MD35 replaces the factory ECU for high-boost builds; Softechpro instead reflashes OEM firmware with automated DPF/EGR/DTC-off, Stage maps and checksum correction. Non-overlapping tools that serve different customer cars.
