Bench / BSL / Boot Tool
KESS Bench is the bench-mode operation of Alientech's KESS3 (and previously KESSv2 via adapters) programmer. With the ECU or TCU on the bench and wired through KESS3 bench cables, it reads and writes flash and EEPROM without OBD, which is needed when a controller is OBD-protected or requires full access. KESS3 bench covers many modern car and commercial-vehicle controllers, including Bosch MD1/MG1/EDC17/MED17, Continental, Delphi and Marelli, using Alientech's protocol and credit licensing. Bench mode complements KESS3's OBD and boot modes. Professional tuners use it for controllers that cannot be fully accessed in-car and for reliable backups. It runs through Alientech's KESS3 software suite with online activation.
KESS Bench provides the read/write; Softechpro Solutions processes that dump, applying emissions and DTC-off modules and Stage tuning and re-checksumming before it goes back on the bench. Softechpro is the file layer, not a substitute for KESS3 hardware.
