Immo & Key Programming
The IAW 7GF Tool is used with the Magneti Marelli IAW 7GF petrol ECU, fitted to Fiat-group small petrol engines. It reads and writes the ECU memory to extract the immobilizer PIN, perform immo-off, or clone the calibration and immo data from an original ECU to a replacement so it starts without factory-level adaptation. Some operations run over the diagnostic bus while others need the module on the bench. The tool is aimed at ECU repair shops and locksmiths who replace failed engine controllers or recover vehicles after key loss or theft. Because the engine ECU and the immo/body module must agree on the security key, the tool focuses on accurate EEPROM handling and preserving the running calibration and checksum so no drivability issues appear afterward.
Softechpro is a tuning and diagnostics package, not a key/immo tool, so it does not overlap with the IAW 7GF Tool's core job. It complements it by applying DTC-off and emissions modules and auto-correcting checksums on supported firmwares once the file is read.
