OEM Diagnostic
Honda HDS (Honda Diagnostic System) is the factory dealer diagnostic software for Honda and Acura vehicles. Used with the HIM (Honda Interface Module) or an MVCI J2534 interface, it provides full-system fault diagnosis, live data, freeze-frame, bi-directional actuator tests, and Honda-specific service routines — including idle-learn, TPMS, DPF/injector procedures on diesels, immobilizer/key registration, and ECU/PCM update and reflash operations. Independent Honda specialists use HDS where generic OBD tools cannot access all modules or perform coding after part replacement. It covers a broad span of Honda/Acura model years and is the reference tool for dealer-level work such as PGM-FI diagnostics and control-module reprogramming. The software pairs with Honda's reflash resources for applying OEM calibration updates.
Honda HDS is the OEM path for Honda diagnosis and flashing; Softechpro Solutions complements it by editing the ECU file for DPF/EGR/DTC-off modules and Stage tuning with checksum correction, then relying on a separate flashing method to write it back.
