ECU Flash Tool
Galletto, commonly the Galletto 1260, is a low-cost EOBD/OBD ECU flashing interface widely sold in cloned form. It reads and writes calibration memory on older Bosch EDC15/EDC16 and ME7-class ECUs and similar Siemens/Delphi units through the diagnostic port using K-line and early CAN protocols. Hobbyists and entry-level tuners historically used it to pull stock files and write modified maps on late-1990s to early-2010s European diesels and petrols. Because most units in circulation are clones with mixed firmware, reliability and vehicle coverage vary, and it is unsuited to modern Tricore ECUs. It remains a recognizable name from the earlier generation of DIY chip-tuning cables.
For the older ECUs a Galletto can read, Softechpro Solutions can apply EGR/DTC-off edits and correct the checksum on the resulting bin. Softechpro edits the file; the Galletto cable handles the in-car read and write.
