BCM / Body / Gateway Tool
A Ford BCM Tool works with the Ford Body Control Module and the PATS (Passive Anti-Theft System) it hosts, which manages the immobilizer, lighting, locking and comfort functions on Ford (and related Lincoln/Mazda-derived) vehicles. It reads and writes the BCM to program keys, perform all-keys-lost, read outcodes/incodes for PATS, adapt a replacement BCM, correct configuration after a module swap, and back up module data. Work is done over OBD or on the bench depending on model and security. Users are Ford-focused auto locksmiths and body-electronics repairers handling lost keys, failed modules and theft recovery on Focus, Fiesta, Transit, Kuga and similar models. Because the BCM/PATS is the immobilizer anchor linking key, cluster and engine ECU, correct programming and pairing are required for the vehicle to accept keys and start.
Softechpro does not program Ford BCM/PATS modules or keys, so it does not replace the Ford BCM Tool. It complements Ford work by applying DTC-off and emissions modules to the engine ECU with automatic checksum correction on supported firmwares.
