Flex Magic refers to MagicMotorsport's Flex programmer together with its software and licensing environment. Flex is a modular master/slave tool that reads and writes car, truck, bike, marine and agricultural ECUs and TCUs over OBD, bench and boot, with capability unlocked by buying protocol activations per ECU family. The software manages device registration, protocol installation and read/write jobs, and connects to MagicMotorsport's online services. Flex is widely used in the professional tuning market for its broad Bosch/Continental/Delphi/ZF coverage and frequent protocol updates. Flex Magic is a colloquial way of naming the whole Flex hardware-plus-software package rather than a separate product. It competes with Alientech KESS3/K-TAG and AutoTuner.
Flex reads and writes the ECU; Softechpro Solutions is the software that transforms the extracted file, adding DPF/EGR/AdBlue/DTC-off and Stage changes and fixing the checksum. The two are complementary: hardware interface plus file-processing software.
