Flex Bench

Bench / BSL / Boot ToolMagicMotorsportWindows + Flex device + bench cables

Flex Bench is the bench-mode operation of MagicMotorsport's Flex programmer. With the vehicle's ECU or TCU removed and connected via Flex bench cables and the relevant protocol adapter, Flex reads and writes flash and EEPROM without needing OBD access. Bench mode suits controllers that are OBD-locked or require full data access, covering many Bosch EDC17/MED17/MG1/MD1, Continental, Delphi and ZF units. Flex uses activation protocols purchased per family, and its master/slave licensing controls what a given device can do. Professional tuners and ECU specialists reach for Flex Bench when OBD or boot access is unavailable or when a complete backup is required. It is part of the modular Flex ecosystem alongside Flex OBD and Flex Boot.

Where Softechpro fits

Flex Bench pulls the read; Softechpro Solutions can then apply DPF/EGR/AdBlue/DTC-off modules and Stage changes to that file and re-checksum it for writing back. Softechpro handles the file while Flex handles the physical read/write.
