BCM / Body / Gateway Tool
A Fiat Body Computer Tool works with the body computer / BCM used across Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Lancia and related group vehicles, which controls the immobilizer, lighting, central locking and comfort functions and often stores the proxi/configuration alignment. It reads and writes the module to program keys, run immo/PIN operations, perform proxi alignment after a component swap, virginize or clone the body computer, and adapt a replacement so it pairs with the engine ECU and dashboard. Work is done over OBD or on the bench depending on the module. Users are Fiat-focused auto locksmiths and body-electronics repairers handling lost keys, failed modules and proxi mismatches. Because the body computer and its proxi configuration link the vehicle's modules, correct alignment is required for keys to be accepted and warning lights to clear.
Softechpro does not program Fiat body computers or keys, so it does not replace this tool. It complements Fiat-group work by applying DTC-off and emissions modules to the engine ECU with automatic checksum correction on supported firmwares.
