Data Logging & Analysis
ETAS MDA (Measure Data Analyzer) is the offline analysis and visualization companion to INCA. It opens measurement files recorded during calibration and testing (MDF/MF4 and ETAS formats) and lets engineers display signals as oscilloscope traces, tables, characteristic maps and cursors, compare multiple recordings, and apply calculations to derived channels. Calibration and validation engineers use MDA to review test-bench, dyno and road measurements, verify that engine, transmission or emissions behavior matches targets, and document results. It reads the same A2L-referenced signal definitions used in INCA so measurements stay traceable to their ECU parameters. MDA is data-format oriented and vehicle-agnostic, working with any recording produced by a compatible measurement session.
MDA analyzes signals logged during live calibration, a diagnostics-adjacent task outside Softechpro's scope. Softechpro's own logging centers on firmware module application and checksum results, so the two address different data and are non-overlapping.
