ETAS ISOLAR is a development environment for authoring AUTOSAR-based ECU software architectures. Variants such as ISOLAR-A support Classic AUTOSAR system and software-component modeling, while ISOLAR-EVE provides a virtual ECU execution environment for early testing. Embedded software engineers use it to define software components, interfaces, runnable entities and ECU configuration, then generate the descriptions consumed by RTA-RTE and downstream toolchains. It targets OEM and Tier-1 developers building production ECU software for engine, transmission, chassis and body controllers. ISOLAR is a software-engineering and integration tool operating on AUTOSAR XML and generated code, not a calibration, flashing or diagnostic utility, and it belongs to the earliest phases of ECU firmware creation.

What ETAS ISOLAR is used for

Where Softechpro fits

ISOLAR is used to build ECU software before a vehicle exists; Softechpro Solutions modifies calibration content in already-compiled production firmware, so they occupy opposite ends of the ECU lifecycle with no overlap.
