OEM Calibration & Measurement
ETAS HSP (Hardware Service Pack) is the maintenance utility that installs firmware and driver updates for ETAS measurement and calibration hardware, such as the ES4xx/ES5xx/ES6xx interface modules, ETK/XETK devices and network interfaces. It ensures that the connected hardware runs firmware compatible with the installed version of INCA and other ETAS tools, and can query, update and roll back device firmware. Calibration engineers run HSP as a setup and troubleshooting step so their bench and in-vehicle measurement hardware communicates reliably over CAN, Ethernet and debug interfaces. It is an infrastructure/support tool rather than a tuning application, and is specific to ETAS hardware rather than to any vehicle or ECU family.
HSP maintains ETAS interface hardware and has no role in editing vehicle firmware. Softechpro is purely a file-and-firmware application, so the two never overlap; HSP simply keeps the OEM hardware side healthy.
