Data Logging & Analysis
The ETAS ES820 Drive Recorder is a compact, rugged in-vehicle logging device that autonomously records ECU measurement and bus data during test drives and fleet operation. Built on the ETAS measurement ecosystem, it captures signals over CAN, CAN FD, LIN, FlexRay and Ethernet plus XCP/CCP-based ECU measurements defined by A2L descriptions, storing them for later analysis in tools like MDA. Calibration and validation engineers deploy it for long-duration, unattended data collection, endurance testing and issue reproduction where a laptop-based setup is impractical. It can be configured from INCA and triggered on events, and is vehicle-agnostic, working with whatever ECUs and buses the test vehicle exposes. It is a data-acquisition appliance rather than a tuning tool.
The ES820 is dedicated logging hardware for OEM validation, outside Softechpro's software-only scope. Softechpro neither records live vehicle data nor replaces such an appliance; it operates on firmware files after the fact.
