Emissions Tool (DPF/EGR/AdBlue)
"EGR Remover" is a generic name for software that edits an engine ECU's calibration to disable exhaust gas recirculation, meaning the EGR valve control is closed or set inactive and the associated monitoring and fault reporting are suppressed, with the checksum recalculated afterward. It is commonly applied to diesels where the EGR system causes soot buildup or reliability concerns, in off-road, motorsport, or export contexts. The tool identifies a supported original read, applies the EGR operation, and exports a corrected file. Coverage centers on common Bosch EDC and Siemens/Continental diesel ECUs and is bounded by a supported list. Disabling EGR on road-registered vehicles is an emissions modification that is illegal in many countries, so legitimate use is restricted to non-road applications.
Softechpro includes an automatic EGR-off module with checksum correction across its firmware catalog, together with DPF, AdBlue, DTC, and Stage tuning, handling this edit in one app where the ECU is supported.
