ECU Connect is EcuTek's smartphone/tablet application paired with a Bluetooth OBD-II dongle. On a car flashed with an EcuTek ProECU tune, it lets the driver switch between multiple stored maps on the fly, display customizable digital gauges, and datalog vital parameters, as well as read or clear diagnostic trouble codes. Tuners can also enable features they built into the ECU and deliver updated content to customers. It targets end users of EcuTek-tuned Subaru, Nissan, Mazda, Toyota and similar vehicles, turning a phone into a dash display and diagnostic reader without a laptop. It depends on an EcuTek calibration already being present on the vehicle.
ECU Connect is a driver-facing companion to EcuTek tunes, while Softechpro operates upstream on the firmware file itself, applying deletes and DTC-off logic and fixing checksums. It is not a live phone dashboard and serves a different role.
