dSPACE TargetLink is a production-code generation tool that turns Simulink/Stateflow models into optimized, standards-compliant C code for automotive ECUs. It generates efficient fixed- or floating-point code with AUTOSAR support, integrated model and code simulation, and MISRA-oriented output, and it manages the calibration and measurement variables that later surface in A2L descriptions for calibration tools. OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers use TargetLink to develop the actual embedded control functions running in engine, transmission, chassis and vehicle controllers, with an emphasis on traceability and certification such as ISO 26262 workflows. It sits at the software-authoring stage of the ECU toolchain, is microcontroller-platform oriented rather than vehicle-specific, and is not a measurement, flashing or tuning tool.

Where Softechpro fits

TargetLink authors the ECU software far upstream of any aftermarket edit. Softechpro only ever touches compiled firmware, applying modules and fixing checksums, so it neither overlaps with nor substitutes for a code-generation tool.
