New Genius is Dimsport's current handheld OBD programmer with a colour touchscreen, working standalone or with Race EVO on a PC. It reads and writes ECU and transmission memory through the OBD-II port, handling identification, original-file backup and reprogramming for a broad, licence-dependent vehicle list. It is aimed at technicians who need a portable tool for in-vehicle flashing without bench disassembly. Being a programmer rather than an editor, it is combined with calibration software for the actual map changes. Its touchscreen workflow and job management make it a common choice for mobile and workshop OBD tuning.
Softechpro Solutions edits the file that a New Genius writes, auto-applying DPF/EGR/AdBlue/DTC-off and Stage modules with checksum correction across ~1,400 firmwares. It is the editing complement to the handheld, not a replacement for it.
