ECU Editor / Map Editor
"Delphi MT80 Tool" describes software used to read, write and tune Delphi MT80 and MT80.1 gasoline engine controllers. These Tricore-based ECUs are found in vehicles from GM/Opel, Fiat, Chevrolet, SsangYong and others. Because MT80 units often cannot be fully read through OBD, tuners commonly use bench or boot-mode (BSL) connections to extract the full flash and calibration, then edit maps for throttle response, torque limiters, rev limits or Stage work before writing back. The ECU protects data with checksums that must be recalculated after edits. As a generic category name, this covers the read/edit/write and checksum workflow for Delphi MT80-series petrol ECUs rather than one specific vendor application.
After an MT80 image is read on the bench, Softechpro Solutions can apply DTC-off and other supported modules and auto-correct the checksum, working from the file the bench tool produces rather than performing the read itself.
