INCAL is Cummins' distribution of ECM calibration files — the official calibration images and metadata used by INSITE (and Calterm) to reprogram Cummins electronic engines. Delivered as periodic releases, an INCAL package contains the approved calibrations for supported engine families, allowing technicians to update an ECM to a newer or corrected calibration during service. It is not a diagnostic interface itself but the calibration library the Cummins tools draw from. Correct INCAL access is required to flash genuine Cummins calibrations and to apply engineering (ECFG) updates to Cummins ECMs.
Softechpro works on the binary calibration content of supported firmwares (emissions/DTC-off, checksum correction); INCAL is the OEM Cummins calibration repository used with Cummins' own reprogramming tools, a separate genuine-file channel.
