OEM Diagnostic
Consult 3+ (C-III+) is the everyday name for Nissan's factory diagnostic software for Nissan and Infiniti vehicles, paired with the VI2 or VI3 interface. It provides complete control-module diagnostics — reading/clearing DTCs, live data, and active tests — together with Nissan "work support" functions, configuration/coding, immobilizer key registration, and ECU flashing/reprogramming. Common jobs include CVT and transmission relearns, ABS/brake bleeds, steering-angle and ADAS camera/radar calibration, BCM and IPDM setup, and self-learning resets after component replacement. Because Nissan gates much of this behind dealer software, Consult 3+ is essential for shops doing more than basic code reads. It spans a large catalogue of model years and receives ongoing updates, and is widely used by independent Nissan/Infiniti technicians alongside genuine or compatible VI hardware.
