Aftermarket Diagnostic Scanner
Carman Scan, from the Korean manufacturer NEXTech, is a professional scan-tool line including models such as Carman Scan Lite, VG64, VG Plus and the newer Carman Scan tablets. It provides full-system diagnostics — DTC read/clear, live data, actuation tests, coding and service resets — with a global multi-brand database and particularly strong coverage of Korean makes such as Hyundai, Kia, GM Korea and SsangYong, as well as Japanese and other vehicles. Workshops that see a lot of Asian vehicles favour it for depth on those platforms. Software is updated through Carman's subscription releases, and function depth varies by model.
Carman Scan is strong for live diagnostics on Asian makes; Softechpro works at the firmware level for emissions and DTC-off edits and checksum correction, so it complements the scanner, especially on the Korean platforms where Softechpro coverage is still growing.
