ECU Editor / Map Editor
"Bosch EDC Tool" is a generic term for software used to read, write and tune Bosch EDC (Electronic Diesel Control) engine controllers. The EDC15, EDC16 and Tricore-based EDC17 generations are among the most common diesel ECUs worldwide, used by VAG, BMW, Mercedes, PSA, Ford, Hyundai and many others. Tuners access the ECU via OBD, bench or boot mode, then adjust maps affecting injection, boost, torque and emissions-related functions such as EGR, DPF and, on later units, SCR/AdBlue, before writing back with corrected checksums. EDC16 and EDC17 use protected memory and multi-part checksums that must be recalculated. As a category, this covers the identification, read/write and calibration-editing workflow for Bosch EDC diesel ECUs.
Bosch EDC ECUs are a core strength of Softechpro Solutions' catalog; once a file is read on the bench or via boot, it can auto-apply DPF/EGR/AdBlue/DTC-off modules and correct the EDC checksums across many supported firmwares.
