OEM Diagnostic
BMW ISTA+ (ISTA/D, Integrated Service Technical Application) is BMW's current factory diagnostic and repair software for BMW, MINI, and Rolls-Royce. Running on Windows with an ICOM interface or an ENET (Ethernet) cable on supported models, it performs guided diagnostics based on symptom/fault trees, full-system DTC analysis, live data, activations/tests, service functions, and — through its integrated programming (formerly the separate ISTA/P) — module coding and flashing via PSdZData. Technicians use it for battery registration, service resets, bleeding/calibration routines, retrofits/coding, and control-unit software updates across modern E-, F-, G-, and I-series platforms. It is the authoritative BMW dealer tool and is essential for post-repair programming that generic scanners cannot perform. ISTA is version-tracked to BMW's data packages and updated frequently.
BMW ISTA+ is the OEM system for diagnosing, coding, and flashing BMW modules; Softechpro Solutions complements it at the file level with DPF/EGR/DTC-off edits and Stage tuning plus checksum correction on the ECU image, not through ISTA's dealer functions.
