Immo & Key Programming
A BMW CAS4 Tool works specifically with the CAS4 and CAS4+ Car Access System modules on F-series BMWs. It reads the CAS4 memory — typically on the bench, since CAS4+ in particular resists OBD reading — to obtain the ISN linking CAS to the DME, program keys, perform all-keys-lost, prepare a used CAS4 for reuse, and pre-code a replacement so it pairs with the engine ECU and other modules. The distinction between CAS4 and CAS4+ affects the memory chip and access method, which the tool handles. Users are BMW-focused auto locksmiths and module specialists. Because CAS4 anchors the vehicle's access and start security and must match the DME's ISN, accurate EEPROM handling, data backup, and correct ISN alignment are critical for the car to accept keys and start.
Softechpro does not program CAS4 modules or BMW keys, so it does not replace the BMW CAS4 Tool. It handles engine-ECU DTC-off and emissions tuning with checksum correction separately from access/immo work.
