Aftermarket Diagnostic Scanner
BimmerGeeks ProTool is a diagnostics and coding application for BMW and Mini. Connected through a BimmerGeeks ENET or OBD cable, it scans all modules for fault codes, displays live data, performs service functions such as battery registration, brake bleeding, adaptations and resets, and enables factory coding to activate hidden features, retrofits and personal preferences on F- and G-series (and some E-series) vehicles. It is designed to be more user-friendly than dealer-level tools while covering much of the same everyday diagnostic and coding ground. It is popular with BMW enthusiasts and independent shops for feature coding and full-vehicle fault reading without a dealer subscription.
ProTool covers BMW diagnostics and feature coding across many modules, whereas Softechpro is a tuning/emissions-module and checksum engine for ECU firmware and does not perform vehicle coding. The two are complementary in a BMW workflow.
