Immo & Key Programming
A BCM2 Tool works with the Audi BCM2 body control module used on B8-platform vehicles such as the A4, A5 and Q5, where the immobilizer and component protection are handled through this module. It reads the BCM2 on the bench to extract immobilizer/CS (component protection) data, program keys including all-keys-lost, prepare a used module, and pre-code a replacement so it pairs with the cluster and engine ECU. Because BCM2 is a secured module, the job normally requires opening it and reading memory directly rather than pure OBD. Users are VAG-focused auto locksmiths and module specialists. Correct handling of the CS/immo data and accurate pairing between BCM2, instrument cluster and ECU are essential for the vehicle to accept keys and start.
Softechpro does not program BCM2 modules, keys or component protection, so it does not replace the BCM2 Tool. It complements VAG work by applying DTC-off and emissions modules to the engine ECU with automatic checksum correction on supported firmwares.
