AVL IndiCom

Data Logging & AnalysisAVLWindows + indicating hardware

AVL IndiCom is combustion measurement and analysis software used with AVL indicating hardware (such as IndiModul or IndiMaster) to acquire and analyze high-speed in-cylinder pressure data. It computes combustion metrics including indicated mean effective pressure, heat-release rate, knock, mass-fraction-burned and cycle-to-cycle variation, synchronised to crank-angle encoders. Engine developers and calibration engineers use it on engine testbeds to understand combustion behavior, optimize injection and ignition timing, and diagnose knock or misfire. It handles thermodynamic analysis and real-time monitoring during testbed runs. IndiCom is a laboratory and testbench instrument tied to dedicated indicating hardware, not a flashing or diagnostic device, and it informs the calibration decisions that later become ECU map values.

Where Softechpro fits

IndiCom produces the combustion insight that engineers turn into map values; Softechpro Solutions operates far downstream on finished firmware files and does not perform combustion measurement, so it neither overlaps with nor replaces this instrument.
