Airbag / Crash Data
Airbag Universal Repair is Windows software used to reset SRS/airbag control modules after a deployment by editing the module's EEPROM dump. When airbags fire, the control unit writes crash data and hard-codes a fault so it will not arm again; a repair tool clears those crash flags and the stored fault records so a professionally rebuilt module reports ready. It is 'universal' in that it recognises many airbag ECU part numbers and EEPROM types across numerous manufacturers, rather than one brand. Body-shop and module-repair specialists read the airbag EEPROM with a programmer, clean it with the tool, and write it back. Important: clearing crash data is legally restricted in many countries and must only be done as part of a proper repair with all deployed components replaced.
