Immo & Key Programming
The Abrites ECU Programming toolset, running on the AVDI platform, handles engine ECU replacement, cloning, virginizing and immobilizer adaptation across supported manufacturers. It lets specialists read and write the data needed to fit a used or replacement ECU, synchronize it with the immobilizer, and recover locked or damaged units on certain platforms. Typical uses include ECU swaps after theft or damage, immo-off adaptation where legal, and pairing a control unit to the vehicle's security system. It operates via OBD and, for some ECUs, bench/boot connections through the AVDI interface. Capabilities depend on the vehicle and the Abrites licenses held. This tool focuses on ECU identity and security data rather than performance calibration editing.
Abrites ECU Programmer handles ECU identity, cloning and immo adaptation; Softechpro handles the calibration content, emissions/DTC-off/tuning modules and checksum correction on supported firmwares. They address different parts of an ECU-replacement or tuning job.
