INCAL is Cummins' distribution of ECM calibration files — the official calibration images and metadata used by INSITE (and Calterm) to reprogram Cummins electronic engines. Delivered as periodic releases, an INCAL package contains the approved calibrations for supported engine families, allowing technicians to update an ECM to a newer or corrected calibration during service. It is not a diagnostic interface itself but the calibration library the Cummins tools draw from. Correct INCAL access is required to flash genuine Cummins calibrations and to apply engineering (ECFG) updates to Cummins ECMs.
Jaltest CV/MCV is Cojali's multi-brand diagnostic platform for commercial vehicles — trucks, buses, trailers and light commercials — covering a very broad list of manufacturers from a single tool. With the Jaltest interface it reads and clears DTCs, shows live data, performs component activations, parameter settings, calibrations, service resets and forced DPF/SCR regenerations, and handles system configuration across engine, aftertreatment, ABS/EBS, transmission and body electronics. Independent truck and fleet workshops use it as an alternative to multiple OEM dealer tools, backed by Jaltest technical information, wiring diagrams and guided diagnostics for listed vehicles.
Cummins Incal (Truck & Off-Highway Diagnostic, Cummins) and Jaltest MCV (Truck & Off-Highway Diagnostic, Cojali (Jaltest)) compete in the same space, so the choice comes down to coverage, workflow and price for your specific ECUs.
