Abrites VAG Commander is the Volkswagen Group software package that runs on the Abrites AVDI interface. It delivers advanced diagnostics, coding, adaptation, key programming, immobilizer functions, mileage operations and module/component work for Audi, VW, SEAT, Skoda, Bentley, Lamborghini and Porsche. It is capable of all-keys-lost key learning, immo-module adaptation, component-protection handling, dashboard operations and special functions across multiple immobilizer generations, including newer MQB platforms depending on licensing. ECU/immo specialists and locksmiths use it for complex VAG jobs beyond the reach of generic tools. It requires the AVDI hardware, Windows and the relevant Abrites software licenses. It should not be confused with the generically named 'VAG Commander' tools sold by other vendors.
VCP Programmer is the EEPROM and immobilizer/component-programming module of the VAG CAN PROFESSIONAL system. It reads and writes EEPROM and security data in Volkswagen Group modules for tasks such as key learning, immobilizer adaptation, component protection, dashboard/cluster operations and control-unit replacement. Working within the VCP platform, it supports Audi, VW, SEAT and Skoda across multiple immobilizer generations. Locksmiths and workshops use it for spare keys, all-keys-lost, module swaps and mileage-related cluster work. It complements VCP Flash (firmware writing) and the VCP System (diagnostics/coding) within one ecosystem. VCP Programmer is Windows software requiring the genuine VCP interface, and its exact capabilities depend on the target vehicle's immobilizer type.
