How to read PID 090A

Send mode 09 with PID 0A over OBD-II. The ECU returns data byte(s), decoded with HEX_to_ASCII (A, B, C, D are the returned bytes in order). The result is “ECU Name”. This is standard SAE J1979 data supported by most OBD-II scan tools and loggers.

Why it matters for tuning
