Definition
RomRaider is the open-source tuning suite for Subaru ECUs (mostly Denso 275800 family). Provides logging, map editing, and ECU flashing. Active community on NASIOC / RS25.
Why workshops care
Subaru tuning is dominated by RomRaider (open-source, free). Softechpro V5 imports RomRaider-style XML definitions for non-Subaru ECUs that share the Denso platform (some Toyota, Mazda, Mitsubishi).
