Wideband O2 — / lambda sensor
Definition
A linear lambda sensor (Bosch LSU 4.9 / NTK UEGO) that reports actual mixture lambda across the full range λ 0.65-1.5. Contrasts with the narrowband O2 sensor (just rich/lean state at stoich).
Why workshops care
Wideband is mandatory for tuning fueling under load. Stock vehicles use narrowband only — Stage 2/3 builds add a wideband + datalogger to verify fueling targets.
