Hold Switch Circuit
On Nissan vehicles, P1799 is logged when the ECU detects a fault in the powertrain: “Hold Switch Circuit”. P1799 is a manufacturer-specific Nissan code (the "1" after the letter marks an OEM-defined code), so its meaning applies to Nissan and may differ on other makes.
