What P1256 means on a Lincoln

On Lincoln vehicles, P1256 is logged when the ECU detects a fault in the throttle: “Pedal Correlation PDS1 and HPDS”. P1256 is a manufacturer-specific Lincoln code (the "1" after the letter marks an OEM-defined code), so its meaning applies to Lincoln and may differ on other makes.
